Editing
This is a work of revising the text on the form, structure and content, created by an experienced operator with the active collaboration of the author. Proofreading
If the editor is a real "surgeon" of the text, the proofreader is responsible only to its formal correctness, without intervening on the structure, plot and characters. So, focus on typos, spelling errors and in general on those little "mistakes" which hardly escape all types of text. Difficult to detect errors when reading the work is only one person (a fortiori, its author) but can easily jump to the eye of others, for the first time grappling with the text.
The absence of typographical errors make reading more enjoyable to the target audience, this is made up of grim university professors, or by the head of a publishing house which, after many doubts, you have finally decided to send the sweaty work.
